Resumen

El astroturísmo es una forma de turismo ecológico que puede convertirse en una importante fuente de divisas para el país, este turismo está relacionado a su vez con la instalación y desarrollo de observatorios astronómicos modernos con fines investigativos que son objetivo de los visitantes. Para desarrollar ambas tareas se necesitan mediciones que permitan determinar la calidad del cielo nocturno de forma confiable en puntos del territorio nacional con potencial astroturístico y/o astronómico.Sin embargo, existen muy pocas mediciones modernas sistemáticas de la calidad del cielo nocturno en sitios del territorio nacional, este trabajo es el comienzo de una serie de investigaciones sobre el conocimiento de la calidad del cielo nocturno en Cuba, utilizando tecnologías modernas.

Characterization of the quality of the night sky in places with astrotourism and astronomical potential in the Republic of Cuba

Abstract

The astro-tourism is a kind of eco-tourism that can become an important source of foreign currency for the country, this tourism is related in turn with the installation and development of astronomic modern observatories with investigating intentions that are objective of the visitors. In order to develop both tasks they take measurements that allow determining the quality of the night-time sky of reliable way in points of the national territory with potential astrotouristand or astronomic. However, they exist very few modern systematic measurements of the quality of the night-time sky in sites of the national territory, this work is the beginning of a series of investigations on the knowledge of the quality of the night-time sky in Cuba, using modern technologies.
