Resumen

El Parque Nacional “Alejandro de Humboldt” constituye una de las áreas protegidas más importantes de Cuba. La necesidad de disponer del inventario de los paisajes geográficos para su incorporación en el plan de manejo y sean reconocidos como objeto de conservación, propició la investigación, con la finalidad de cartografiar las unidades de paisajes locales, utilizando la concepción teórica-metodológica de la geoecología del paisaje, apoyado en el sistema de información geográfica ArcGis.9.3. Constituye la primera aproximación al estudio de los paisajes terrestres del área protegida. Los resultados obtenidos evidencian gran variedad y complejidad en la estructura de los paisajes, con la existencia de 14 unidades de primer orden y numerosas subunidades internas. Los paisajes existentes son clasificados como húmedos y muy húmedos, debido a la acción combinada de la ubicación geográfica, las características del relieve y la influencia de los vientos alisios del nordeste.

The terrestrial landscapes of the national park Alejandro de Humboldt, Cuba

Abstract

The National Park “Alejandro of Humboldt” one of the most important protected area in Cuba constitutes. The necessity to have the handling plan that incorporates the geographical landscapes as conservation object and future works of environmental and functional, favorable zonification the development of the present investigation, with the cartographea purpose the units of local landscapes, using the theoreticalmethodological conception of the geoecology of the landscape, supported in the system of geographical information ArcGis.9.3. It constitutes the first approach to the study of the terrestrial landscapes of the protected area. The obtained results evidence great variety and complexity in the structure of the landscapes, expressed in the existence of 14 units of first order and numerous internal subunidades. The existent landscapes are classified as humid and very humid, consequence to the combined action of the geographical location, the characteristics of the relief and the influence of the winds Alice of the northeast.
