Resumen

El Objetivo de este trabajo es presentar una visión general de los problemas ambientales que ocasiona la actividad minera al entorno y las medidas tecnológicas y de gestión ambiental para abordarlas.

En el mismo se tratan los siguientes tópicos: Aspectos ambientales de la industria minera, Drenaje Ácido y Movilidad de Componentes, Procesamiento de minerales de Oro y de Cobre, Tratamiento de residuales y Medidas de gestión Ambiental.

Se destaca la importancia de las pruebas de Drenaje Ácido y Movilidad de Componentes para la predicción de los impactos negativos al medio ambiente generados por la explotación y procesamiento de minerales, llegándose a la conclusión de que los impactos ambientales de la minería no sólo se traducen en posible contaminación ambiental, sino en una fuerte presión sobre recursos naturales renovables y no-renovables, que la sustentabilidad del sector minero no sólo depende de la disponibilidad de minerales, sino que también de otros recursos naturales limitantes, como agua y energía, la carencia de estas dos últimas afecta el desarrollo del sector minero, requiriendo nuevas tecnologías y prácticas, por lo que se deben establecer sistemas de gestión efectivos para afrontar los riesgos ambientales y laborales.

Abstract

The objective of this work is present a general vision of the environmental problems that causes the mining activity to the environment and the technological measures and environmental administration to approach them.

It is presented the following topics: Environmental aspects of the mining industry, Drainage Mine and Mobility of Components, Prosecution of minerals like Gold and Copper, Treatment of residual and Measures of Environmental administration.

It’s showed the importance of the tests of Drainage Mine and Mobility of Components for the prediction from the negative impacts to the environment generated by the exploitation and prosecution of minerals, being reached the conclusion that the environmental impacts of the mining are not only translated in possible environmental contamination, but rather in a strong pressure over renewable and no-renewable natural resources, where the Sustainability of the mining sector doesn’t only depend on the readiness of minerals, but rather other restrictive natural resources, like water and energy, the lack of these one affects the development of the mining sector, requiring new technologies and practical.
